Bada Bean Bada Booze Fall Menu in Columbus Ohio: Pumpkin Cookie Butter Lattees, Chai Cocktails and a New Fall line up
Fall has settled in at Bada Bean Bada Booze, and the new menu leans all the way into it. Cinnamon brown sugar, pumpkin cookie butter, pistachio, chai and local apple cider carry the café side. On the bar side, those same flavors show up again in a new set of signature cocktails built for a cold night, plus a tightened list of bourbon classics that are hard to argue with.
If you are searching for fall drinks in Columbus, Ohio, a pumpkin latte that is not a syrup bomb, a proper chai cocktail, or a fall cocktail menu with actual structure, this is the lineup to know. Bada has always lived between coffee culture and bar culture. This season the two sides of the menu were designed together, so the flavor you order at 9 a.m. has a cousin waiting for you at 9 p.m.
Everything below is available now across our Columbus locations. Café drinks are at all four Bada locations. Cocktails are at Italian Village and Quarry Trails, our two full-bar locations.
The fall lineup is live at every Bada Bean Bada Booze location in Columbus.
What’s New on Bada’s Fall Menu
The direction this season is warm and a little indulgent without going soft. On the café side, that means four new signature drinks: the Pistachio Cappuccino, the Cinnamon Coffee Cake Latte, the Pumpkin Patch Kid and Bobbin’ for Apples. Every syrup in that group is made in house.
On the bar side, the new signatures are Calabasas, Winter in London, Yabba Dabba Doo and Southern Breakfast, joined by a refreshed classics list built around Ohio bourbon. If you want a seasonal drink menu in Columbus that covers coffee and cocktails with the same point of view, this one does.
Café
New Fall Coffee Drinks at Bada Bean Bada Booze
The café menu is where most people will meet the new season first. Here is what is new and worth the detour, with pricing as of launch.
Pistachio Cappuccino
$7Florin espresso, house-made pistachio syrup, milk
Pistachio has been creeping onto coffee menus everywhere, and most versions taste like candy. This one does not. The house-made syrup is nutty and lightly sweet, and the cappuccino format keeps the espresso in charge. It is the most grown-up drink on the new café list and probably the one regulars will settle into.
Cinnamon Coffee Cake Latte
$8Florin espresso, house-made brown sugar syrup, milk, vanilla cold foam
If you want the drink that tastes like the season, start here. Brown sugar and cinnamon do the heavy lifting, and the vanilla cold foam on top gives it that crumb-topping finish the name promises. It is the richest build on the menu, which is why it costs a dollar more.
Pumpkin Patch Kid
$7Florin espresso, house-made pumpkin cookie butter syrup, milk
Yes, there is a pumpkin latte. No, it is not the one you are thinking of. The Pumpkin Patch Kid is a pumpkin cookie butter latte, and the cookie butter angle adds a toasty, spiced-biscuit depth that keeps the pumpkin from tasting one-note. It comes topped with a Biscoff cookie, hot or iced. For anyone searching for a pumpkin latte in Columbus that was built by a coffee shop rather than a marketing department, this is the order.
Bobbin’ for Apples
$7Chai tea, local apple cider, dulce de leche
Bobbin’ for Apples is the sleeper hit of the fall menu and the one drink on the café side with no espresso in it. Local apple cider steeped with chai, finished with dulce de leche, so it lands like a caramel apple you can drink. It is warm, spiced, and tastes like the best part of a fall festival. It also sets up the bar menu, because chai shows up again after dark.
Bar
New Fall Cocktails in Columbus Worth Trying at Bada
Bada’s bar program works best when it stays confident and a little off-center. The fall signatures take the café flavors (pumpkin, cinnamon, cereal milk, chai) and rebuild them with Ohio spirits. If you are searching for fall cocktails in Columbus, these are the four to know. Signatures are $12.
Calabasas
$12Peligroso reposado tequila, pumpkin, lemon, Demerara, bitters · Coupe
Calabasas is the pumpkin cocktail done right. Reposado tequila gives it warmth and a little vanilla from the barrel, lemon keeps it bright, and the pumpkin reads as savory and earthy rather than pie filling. It arrives in a coupe with a foam top and a stenciled pumpkin, which is the kind of detail that gets photographed before it gets tasted.
Winter in London
$12Watershed bourbon barrel gin, cinnamon, lemon, ginger beer, mint · Collins
The name says winter, but it is built for the first cold snap. A gin drink on a fall menu is a smart move, and the bourbon barrel finish on the Watershed gin is what makes it work. Cinnamon and ginger beer do the seasonal lifting, lemon and mint keep it long and refreshing. If you usually order a mule or a Tom Collins, this is your fall drink.
Yabba Dabba Doo
$12High Bank Whiskey War, Fruity Pebbles cereal milk punch, passion fruit, Meletti, lemon · Rocks
The name is a Flintstones nod, and the Fruity Pebbles on the ice cube are the tell. If you know our Saturday Morning latte, you already understand the idea. The cereal-milk nostalgia that made that drink a signature now has a bar-side counterpart. Clarified cereal milk punch gives it a silky texture, passion fruit and lemon cut through the sweetness, and the Meletti amaro adds just enough bitterness to make it a cocktail instead of a dessert. It is the most fun drink on the menu and it is better made than it has any right to be.
Southern Breakfast
$12Hennessy, orange juice, chai lager syrup, Demerara, Cardamaro, saline, cold brew float · Tall
This is the drink the bar team is proudest of, and it is the clearest example of day and night meeting on one menu. The chai syrup is made by reducing Bada Beer (our Parsons North Mexican lager) with chai concentrate, which lands somewhere between breakfast tea and Earl Grey. Cognac and orange juice round it out, Cardamaro adds spice, and a cold brew float on top ties it straight back to the café. Served tall with a dehydrated orange wheel. If you order one new cocktail this fall, order this one.
The Classics, Rebuilt on Ohio Bourbon
Alongside the signatures, the classics list has been tightened to four drinks at $10 each. The through line is bourbon from Ohio distilleries, which is a quiet flex that most bars in town cannot make.
- Old Fashioned (rocks): Green River bourbon, Demerara, bitters, orange oil
- Whiskey Sour (coupe): Watershed bourbon, lemon, simple, aromatic bitters
- Old Pal (up): George Dickel rye, Campari, dry vermouth, lemon twist
- Paper Plane (up): Green River bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino, lemon, lemon twist
Wine and non-alcoholic options stay in place for the season, and High Noon joins the canned lineup.
The fall menu was built and shot by the team that pours it, at Quarry Trails.
